Jet Park Hotel Close to airport very clean and tidy superb art work all around the hotel, only spent 9 hours there but
it was so nice to have a bed for the night.
Heritage Hobson Street - Posh!!!! although in the centre of Auckland it was
extremely quiet. Had a lovely walk the first day!!!! along the docks, my idea of course (Viv) however we did manage to get
a good deal on a car hire so all was not lost.
Next day took a Top sights bus tour to Parnell and had breakfast there
of fruit, croissants and coffee had a lovely walk around this very interesting area. Strange thing here they seem to have
churches coming in threes not buses! however they were very pretty. Went to Auckland Museum had a pleasant hour or two looking
a some interesting natural history exhibits. Followed and a leisurely walk back to the hotel through a few parks. Amazing
thing about Auckland whichever way you go its always up hill!!!! Later that evening we had an outstanding meal in the Sky
Tower - they have a revolving restaurant at the top it was amazing watching the sun go down and looking at the night lights
wow!
